Jammin’ Jars 2 Slot Preview

GOSU GAME REVIEW

Many slots enthusiasts have had a day where Jammin’ Jars was the game to play. Watching the fruits fall and explode to the disco themed background music is always a good time. The little dancing jars come down and get you excited for the chance at a bonus that just might be the one where you connect those four multipliers in one massive line of strawberries. Push Gaming realizes this and is awarding Jammin’ Jars fans with a sequel: Jammin’ Jars 2 featuring DJ Giga Jar.

Theme & Design – Specs & Gameplay

If you have played the first game, when you open this slot you immediately feel at home. The colorful fruits, the updated yet somewhat similar music and of course the Jars. The first major difference you notice is Mr. DJ Giga Jar himself. Standing atop a platform with a charge meter below scratching some old school vinyl for your amusement. As you fill the DJ’s meter, the number and filling in the jar grows. Reaching level 5 gives you the change to hit the Giga Jar bonus. The old small jar bonus is still in the game and plays much the same, however players now have a chance to make connections with not just fruits, but Razor Shark esque coins as well.

In the base game or in the normal jar bonus, 5 coins make a winning connection and the players bet is multiplied by each coin. The final amount can then be multiplied by the jars like a regular win for massive potential. Other than the coins, the Jammin’ Jars 2 base game and normal bonus play the same as its predecessor. If you are dedicated enough to collect the golden records for DJ Giga Jar and reach max level (5), you then have the CHANCE to trigger the super bonus each time another golden record appears. If you have played Wild Swarm by Push Gaming, this concept is not foreign to you and the frustration is just as mounting.

Once Mr.DJ Giga has had enough records and awards the super bonus, 3-4 small jars are fired onto the board and then Giga joins the fray as well. All fruit symbols are deactivated, and the only drops that can land (and stick) are coins. Once the coins form a cluster of 5 or more, that cluster will pay out ever remaining spin. The jars that Giga added will jump around as normal and can connect to the coins for multiplied big wins. Giga does not dance. Giga does not move. What Giga does is if a coin appears next to him or a jar jumps next to him, he will roll a coin up to 1000x for you. Again, if a small jar is touching giga, any multiplier(s) will be added to the coins value. After the bonus ends, you are awarded your winnings and one free giga level so that charging him the second time will only take maybe 3000 spins this time.

Verdict

In the 5,000+ spins I went through in the demo of the game, I was able to trigger Giga once. It was incredibly disappointing to see a measly 127x win after the grind it took to find him, but what I also noticed was the remaining balance. The demo play for push gaming begins with $10,000. I had decided to roll at $1 spins and let them play out all day long. After all of these spins, and my biggest win of 472x, the balance was still well over $9000. I was impressed at the slots connection rate, and normal bonus rate in those spins. It was enjoyable the whole way through (other than the disappointing Giga). Jammin’ Jars 2 is a game that I will definitely be playing and maybe when the game is officially released, I can coax Mr. DJ Giga Jar into giving up one of those shiny 1000x coin while a multiplier stands ready at his side.
