WWE Legends Makes It Way to the Ring This Month
Microgaming Snaps Up the WWE Franchise
Major brands and franchises are always a major piece of business for slot game developers. Few global brands are as recognisable as World Wrestling Entertainment, the WWE. Microgaming already has quite a few brands under its belt, including Game of Thrones, Terminator, and the Jurassic Park/Jurassic World franchise. Now, it has signed a deal to license the WWE brand for use in its slots. While we thoroughly expect more games will come online over time, for now, there’s just one new release coming your way at BTC betting sites, as Microgaming has announced WWE Legends: Link & Win will debut this month.
Meet WWE Legends: Link & Win
When we think of WWE legends, we automatically think of hall-of-famers. The likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, the “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and Booker T. These are, of course, just some of the stars who’ve made the grade in the new Microgaming slot. The game is debuting at crypto casinos this month as a retro-take on “sports entertainment”, and it comes with a Champion Jackpot, a non-progressive prize worth upwards of 5,000x a stake.
Of course, the key ingredients in the new game are likely to be the Link & Win and HyperSpins mechanics, so let’s get stuck into those next.
Link & Win and HyperSpins Mechanics
WWE Legends is being launched as a joint project between Microgaming and All41Studios, and it should be playable at crypto casinos that have access to Microgaming’s open gaming platform, Quickfire. The Link & Win mode itself will make it possible to land symbols covering all available spots on the reels, and that is essential if you want to win the top prize. However, during the free spin round, a colossal symbol can appear on the second to fourth reels once they merge into one. This can help boost your chances of landing those epic wins.
As you may have guessed, All41Studios’ HyperSpins mechanic is in play, too. This means that the Microgaming produced slot allows you to hold any reel (for a cost) and trigger a re-spin. This might prove costly but could get you closer to winning a top non-progressive jackpot prize.
Does Microgaming Lay the Smackdown with This BTC Slot?
The big question is, does Microgaming manage to lay the smackdown on rival sites with its features. The truth is, we won’t really know until the game goes live. There aren’t many wrestling-themed slots out there, but there are a couple that could give this one a run for its money. Lucha Libre (and its sequels) is already regarded as having set the benchmark high for wrestling slots at crypto casinos, but we’ve got a sneaking suspicion that with its branding and major WWE Superstars in tow, Microgaming’s new BTC slot might just have the edge on that popular RTG release.
