E-Force Slot Review
If you are a BTCGOSU regular, then you know that when we usually name-drop a game in one of our reviews, there is a strong likelihood that we will analyze it sometime soon. We like to give a sense of context to our readers so that frequent ones know and understand our references. When evaluating BGaming’s Easter Heist, we mentioned Yggdrasil’s E-Force. So it is on the chopping block today. Naturally, another reason is that Easter is almost here, and we would like to load our site with as much holiday-related content, to get those search clicks coming.
Yggdrasil unleased E-Force on March 15th to exclusive sites. And it gave this slot a wide release two weeks later. It is doing terrifically well for this provider, entering most regions’ top ten rankings. But we all know that BTCGOSU has the final say on gaming products quality, and we shall render ours regarding this one below. Just kidding. What follows is only our opinion, everyone has theirs, and we never put ourselves above anyone else.
Theme & Design
The theme here is Easter, but with an action cinema twist. The peaceful inhabitants of a small village named Easterville are getting disturbed by Dr. Zeppelin, an evil scientist in this slot. And it is up to the community’s finest rabbit soldiers to take care of business, defend their Easter Eggs, and save the village. Without question, this game features various homages to action classics of yonder. You have a rabbit wearing Bruce Lee’s Game of Death yellow suit, one with a Robocop outfit, and another with an Indiana Jones hat. Then you have a rabbit looking like Arnold in Commando and another like Rambo in First Blood Part 2. So, you can say that this game is the Expendables of rabbit slots.
The graphics here are, of course, cartoony painterly images. The backdrops are flatter (more 2D), while the characters have more dimension, created in a different visual style. The reels here spin in a wooden structure in front of the rabbit village, and you can see some of the village’s residents appearing in the background during the base gameplay. The music is nicely paced but generic enough not to draw attention to itself. It complements the game, and the sound effects are something out of an old-school cartoon. We even like the win noises here. Thus, we rate the presentation of E-Force as excellent.
Concerning the buttons here, you have the spin, auto-spin, and mute functions in the bottom right corner of your screen. The bet adjuster is in the middle, and the settings icon is on the far left of the dark grey button configuration.
Specs & Gameplay
The variance of E-Force, which we guess stands for Easter Force, is medium-high, and the hit frequency here is 27.16. The RTP by default is 94%, but it can range. The max exposure cannot, as it has gotten set at x10,000 on a max bet of $10 and a minimum of $0.1. E-Force gameplay gets played out on a 5×3 grid with 243 betways.
To attain rewards in this gaming product, you must land at least three matching tokens on consecutive reels, left to right. The low-paying ones of this game are different-color eggs, producing wins of x1 for five-of-a-kind combos. The character symbols are the premiums, yielding prizes of x2 to x5 for five identical tokens from these groups popping up on the same spin. The Rambo rabbit is the most generous of the premiums, followed by the female Bruce Lee rabbit.
The Robocop rabbit is the wild of E-Force, and the fox villain is the scatter. Note that, in this game, the wild can substitute the scatter, which is a rarity. Wilds land on the middle three reels.
Bonus Features
Hitting three fox scatters, or Robocop wilds, triggers the E-Force free spins round with a multiplier active. Know that the scatters can only land on reels one and five. The number of on-the-house reel rotations and multipliers you will receive in this mode depends on the number of activating symbols hit. Also, one spin/x1 multiplier gets supplied in this round per scatter/wild appearing in this round. That is it regarding bonus features in this game. If you do not want to wait to enter the free spins via natural gameplay, you can get three to nine complimentary reel rotations of x50 your stake or grab fifteen for the price of x500 your bet.
GOSU Verdict
Fun. That is what we would define E-Force as, nothing more. Unfortunately, much of that gets owed to the presentation in play here, meaning its cast of colorful characters, as the gameplay features are rather elementary. Still, not every game should be super complex, and we really liked that the wild can substitute (serve as) the scatter in E-Force. The max win of $200,000 may not blow most high-variance gamblers’ socks off, but since this is a medium-high slot, it may satisfy an adequate bunch of them.
In short, if you are into zany spinners, give this one a go. We got loads of enjoyment out of it. Yggdrasil’s design team really hit it out of the park with this one. It is a unique game, no doubt. If you ever wondered how the Expendables movie franchise would look in cartoon form with rabbits, here is your answer. We are fairly certain that no one ever asked themselves this question. But there you go.
