Fa Fa Babies 2 Slot Review
We have not seen much Red Tiger-related news in the past few months, aside from one early August report that this provider operating under the Evolution umbrella has partnered with NetBet Denmark, expanding this operator’s game offer in one of the Old Continent’s most developed markets. Concerning new products released, Red Tiger is still churning out two spinners per month, and we recently reviewed one of this studio’s latest titles, Emperor of India. The company’s overall catalog now numbers over three hundred and twenty games.
Fa Fa Babies 2 is a sequel to a 2022 Red Tiger slot of the same name. Of course, with the 2 omitted. The original Fa Fa Babies did reasonably well, which is why this Malta supplier selected to follow it up two years later with a game that debuted on the first of August 2024. This sequel is also trending decently in most markets in the first two weeks of its launch, especially in Scandinavia. We assume many people are mainly checking it out due to its two cute child characters, captivated by their charm, but let us give it a deeper look. See if it has something more to offer under the hood.
Theme & Design
Concerning the theme of this spinner, we would say that it has an Asian motif, but it would be fair to also classify it as a slot with Fortune Frog-type vibes and a bit of a coin spice. We would call it similar to Reel Kingdom’s Dragon Gold 88 or 5 Lions Megaways by Pragmatic Play.
In our eyes, this title implements many of the same visual elements as the two noted games. It has two Chinese-looking children (we assume, given the theme) riding golden koi fish, flanking the golden-framed grid, with fortune prizes and coins laid on top of it. The graphics here are nice to look at and rich in color. Nonetheless, the game is light on character animations and features cliché Asian-style slot music. While we would call the presentation here acceptable and in line with Red Tiger’s modern standard, it is not something that should wow or captivate you.
On a desktop, you should find the spin button below the grid’s bottom right corner and the stake adjuster under the game’s 5×3 setup’s left one.
Specs & Gameplay
What do we have to say about the specifications of Fa Fa Babies 2? First, we would like to start by pointing out this is a medium variance title. It seems that much of the industry these days has shifted to primarily the creation of high or medium-high-variance products. So, seeing a medium one is nice now and again. The reel grid this online slot implements has the classic five reels and three rows, on which two hundred and forty-three paylines exist. These pay outs prizes when three or more matching tokens appear on adjacent reels, beginning from the leftmost one.
Fa Fa Babies comes in three RTP variants. The default one is 95.73%. That is the version you are most likely to see everywhere. But we must add that 94% RTP and 92% iterations exist. That said, all of these have a maximum win potential of x1,223 and a betting range that starts at $0.10, moving up to $80 per spin.
Regarding the pay symbols of these products, you get five low-pay royals – A, K, Q, J, and 10, which produce wins from x1 to x1.2 for five-of-a-kind combos. Their high-pay counterparts are what looks like a red pin, a gold coin, a golden frog, a golden tortoise, a golden lamp, and a golden ship. These produce wins from x2 to x100 when a combination of five identical tokens from this group hit on the same spin on one of the discussed two hundred and forty-three paylines.
The Ying-Yang symbol is the wild in Fa Fa Babies 2, and there is a green Free Spins scatter that we will get into more below.
For comparison’s sake, this game’s predecessor was a high-variance spinner with a max exposure of x1.888, a max bet of $100, twenty paylines, and a base RTP of 95.47%.
Bonus Features
The mentioned scatters (as expected) provide access to the free spin bonus here. To enter this round, you must hit two of these on the rightmost and leftmost reel of Fa Fa Babies 2’s layout. Doing that will award you eight on-the-house spins. Landing two more scatters with this mode active gets you an extra eight complimentary reel rotations. In this round, royal symbols and Lucky Envelopes do not appear.
What are those? Well, a Lucky Envelope is a scatter that lands on the middle three reels. Each one of these that land reveals a Lucky Coin, which gets thrown randomly at one of the four Fortune Prizes or into the Gold Pot above the reels. Each added to the Fortune Prize enhances it by x1. Coins chuck into the Gold Pot may trigger the Fortune Bonus at random. Before we go into explaining that mode, we should backtrack and give you insight into the Fortune Prizes. These are four multipliers shown above the reels. Their starting values are x8 for the Big Fortune. Then you have x18 for the Super Fortune, x88 for the Mega Fortune, and lastly, x888 for the Divine Fortune. As noted, these values may get boosted via Lucky Envelopes, and when one gets won, it is reset to its seed value.
The Fortune Bonus is a pick-em-round. Inside it, you get six picks from twenty options. These can reveal either a Lucky Coin or an instant reward. There are fifteen cash rewards (multipliers) and five coins. The cash prize values move from x1 to x10. Revealing two or more coins awards a Fortune Prize. Two coins get you the Big Fortune. Three the Super Fortune. Four, the Mega one, and five, the Divine Fortune. When the bonus ends, you win the combined revealed cash prize values and the highest Fortune Prize.
GOSU Verdict
We will be honest; we did not think much of Fa Fa Babies 2. It is not that this slot is super bad, but we found it super boring, and while its presentation looks somewhat charming in screenshots, it did nothing for us during regular gameplay. Moreover, the specs here are nothing special, and the same goes for the bonus features. So, our recommendation would be for you to avoid this Red Tiger release.

The game seems to be trying to update the original, but it doesn’t quite manage to introduce anything particularly exciting or new. While the bonus features are decent and the specs are solid, they don’t really stand out. In a market full of slots, this one blends in rather than shines, though fans of the original might still find some enjoyment here.
