Highstreet Heist was the one hundred slot Quickspin ever released, appearing online on March 15th, 2022. Theme & Design

It seems to us that perhaps, Quickspin is trying to capitalize on the popularity of the high established Spanish crime drama – La Casa De Papel, also known to western audiences as Money Heist. However, the robbers’ disguises in this game seem more like something out of Christopher Nolan’s 2008 movie – The Dark Knight. Their masks and suits look straight out of the opening of that film. Hence, visually, it undoubtedly draws more inspiration from the second feature of the Christian Bale Batman franchise than the mentioned TV show.

The visuals here are cartoony, and they depict a jewelry store in what Quickspin claims is an affluent city, whose many glass displays have gotten shattered and are waiting to get pillaged. In all honesty, the graphics here resemble something you would see in a Pragmatic Play slot from about two years ago. Though colorful, they seemed a bit generic. Also, the base game of Highstreet Heist has a very meek soundtrack, and its sound effects are copies of game show ones akin to those of the former world phenomenon – Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Things get a tad more rambunctious when the bonus feature gets activated, but not too vastly to change our overall opinion of what we rate as an average presentation.

For some reason, Highstreet Heist kept going full-screen view on us. Of course, we found that annoying. Nevertheless, we cannot pinpoint if this is Quickspin’s fault. GOSU Verdict

Decent. We wanted to like this game more than we did, but we still thought it was Okay. The max exposure setting here of x20,024 on a max wager of $100 is enticing, despite the astronomical chances in play. Presentation-wise, Highstreet Heist will not blow anyone’s socks off, and its gameplay mechanics are not anything unique. Still, it is an effective spinner with a good theme and an attractive re-spin feature. We doubt it will be anyone’s favorite, but it is worth a session or two of reel-spinning action.
