We have spoken about Fugaso loads of times, but we have never reviewed any of this Cypriot iGaming company’s games. That fact was recently brought to our attention by one of our readers. As some may know, Fugaso has been dabbling in the crypto sphere, as it added BetConstruct’s FTN token as a supported currency in November 2022. It also joined the turnkey online casino platform Gamingtec in January this year. The novelty of this slot probably has a lot to do with its high-end ranking. Tropical Gold showed up online on March 29th and got met with chiefly favorable comments from players, who liked the simplicity this title boasts.

Theme & Design

The theme of this slot should be pretty obvious, given its name, and when researching this reel-spinning category, we found dozens of games we had never heard of, many of which had the word tropic/al. For example, the old Tropic Paradise from PlayPearls, Rabcat’s Tropical Wilds, and Tropical Birds from Mplay, to name a few. A few others we came across we already knew, such as Tropical Tiki from Pragmatic Play and Tropical Bonanza from iSoftBet. To be precise, we would guess this, and the above-mentioned spinners fall into a sub-genre that can get labeled as exotic island games, of which we found ninety-two.

We must say Tropical Gold’s presentation took us by surprise. It is not that Fugaso has made bad-looking games in the past, but we have not played one of their releases in a while and expected something audio-visually worse than what we got. The soundtrack of this product is quite trendy and catchy, featuring some nifty beats that fashion an entertaining mood that complimented the above-average painterly graphics that depict a beach on a desolate island. You have trees creating a gap in a forest that shows waves crashing onto a lush green shore. The reels here spin inside a golden frame with the game’s logo at the top.

The spin functions are right of the symbol area, represented by arrow tips at the end of circular or semi-circular lines. The bet adjuster and the number of active paylines are in a bar below them. And there is another bar below that one showing the balance, bet, and win info.

Again, the thing we most liked about the presentation here was the music. It was original and top-notch, in our opinion. Note that you have the full-screen, mute, and settings options in the top right corner of your screen.

Now, in scenarios where multiple wins occur on multiple lines per spin. These get totaled.

The premiums of Tropical Gold are an anchor, a bag of gems, this slot’s logo, and its main character. These pay wins of x15 to x80. Remember that wins of x50 will get produced in cases when on a payline, the character tokens mix with the logo ones.
