Monster Truck Madness Slot Review
We have gotten some criticism over the past year or so that we continuously review products from the same game providers over and over again. Hence, proving that we are listening to our loyal BTCGOSU patrons, we decided to branch off and look at a few titles from a developer whose slots we have never analyzed. The choice fell to Booming Games, another Malta-based provider. However, this company also has offices in Athens, Manila, the Isle of Man, and London.
They have steadily been getting some recognition in the interactive gaming sphere and deserve to get featured on our site. Booming Games launched its operations in 2014, and they have released close to two hundred reel-spinners so far. The one that we will be looking at here is Monster Truck Madness, a novel title from this provider, appearing in online casino lobbies in late-June 2022 and ranking in the top two hundred most-played games in multiple markets.
Theme & Design
Children of the 1980s and 1990s likely remember watching off-road vehicles with oversized tires crushing cars and doing crazy jumps. For a vehicle to get classified as a monster truck, it must have sixty-six-inch off-road tires. Plus, be at least twelve feet tall. An invention of the 1970s, many fans claim that it was during this decade that these novelty trucks reached their heyday. Nevertheless, there were present on TV screens in the 1990s and were the subject of multiple popular video games, including one bearing the same name as our reviewed slot.
Visually, this game is super colorful. It boasts a pallet of mainly primary colors and has some smoothly illustrated graphics. However, the presentation could have been a bit more professional if some tweaks to it had gotten made before this game was released. The background is a stadium setting, and while it looks decent, the animations that play out in front of it are clumsy. They are choppy-looking, like low-frame video footage. The design team also could have done a better job choosing the interface fonts and put a little more effort into adjusting the quality of the sound effects. Some of the voice-over audio seems hallow, and its levels are a bit off. Overall, in our opinion, the Booming Games development team should have given the game more polish.
You can find the spin button in the bottom right corner above the balance info, and the bet-adjuster has gotten placed both in the bottom left of your screen and above the spin function. The three-bar setting icon is in the top right, and inside its options panel, you can set up to one thousand spins.
Specs & Gameplay
Monster Truck Madness utilizes a 6×4 layout with thirty paylines. The variance of this online casino product is high, and its default RTP is 95.2%. The high frequency of the Monster Truck Madness slot is a terrific 26.59, with a betting range that drops to $0.3 on the low end and an impressive $450 on the high one. Interestingly enough, the max win here is also 450 times your stake.
The low-paying tokens of this spinner are the classic J-A card royals, awarding wins of x1.8 to x4.5 for winning combos displaying six identical symbols from this batch. A male and female driver and two monster tracks are the premiums here, awarding wins of x5.4 to x13.5 for six matching symbols landing on a payline on the same spin.
The Wild here is a massive truck tire substituting all other tokens except for the Scatter, which is a skull.
Bonus Features
There are several bonus features in this slot. The first we’re going to mention is the Random Wilds. Up to twenty-four can drop in the base game and Free Spins round. There are also Bursting Wilds in Monster Truck Madness. These explode upon landing, expanding upwards on their reels, morphing all symbols they reach Wild. Note that this feature can trigger in conjunction with the Random Wilds feature.
The Minor Eliminator activates randomly in the Free Spins mode and the base game, and it removes all card royals on the grid, triggering a cascade of Wilds, Scatters, and high-paying tokens.
Hitting three or more Scatters gets you entry into the Monster Truck Madness Free Spins. Depending on the number of landed Scatters up to six, you can get up to twenty reel rotations. To buy your way into this mode, you must pay a price of x70 your wager.
GOSU Verdict
While it won’t win any beauty contest, Monster Truck Madness offers a quality combo of decent random bonuses, an excellent hit frequency, and simple gameplay. For players starting out, this is not a horrible slot to pick. Particularly for those with deep pockets who want to try their luck spinning digital reels, since this is one of the rare games we have reviewed with a max bet option of over $300 ($450).
