We recently posted a review of Blueprint’s Maradona-themed slot, Maradona El Diez. While writing that game scan, we noticed Spirit Wolf as an upcoming Blueprint release, one we would like to cover due to its similarity with some of the most famous entries in Pragmatic Play’s Gold series. It came out on the 18th of November and did not make a massive splash anywhere. In fact, at the time of writing, it only ranked in the top one thousand most-played games in Sweden, India, New Zealand, and South Africa. For a Blueprint release, this is disappointing. However, that did not sway us from giving this spinner a look-see; as we provide you with all the info about it, you are required to make a correct decision if this title is a decent fit for you or not.

We saw no press release for Spirit Wolf Wins online and got none before this game debuted. So, we may speculate that it did not get pumped up adequately before it hit casino site lobbies, which may have contributed to it doing not as well as we would have expected.

Theme & Design

We think that this is Blueprint’s attempt to copy Wolf Gold by Pragmatic Play to capture the gamblers who are enamored by that game and others like it. Trust us, there are more than a few. This release has the same general vibe as that one, and it includes similar symbols. Those are cougar, eagle, bear, and the usual card royals. Both products have cash symbols, typical Native American-style drum soundtracks, and the same symbol animations. There have been several games with an American outdoors motif and a tribal vibe thrown in that have hit the interactive gaming sphere in recent years, we think primarily on account of the success of Wolf Gold. In 2020, Blueprint released another one called Buffalo Rising Megaways, which has had follow-ups.

As far as the presentation of Spirit Wolf Wins goes, we think it is pretty decent. The mentioned music is good. We like that the sound effects are not too in-your-face and that the graphics have a soft touch to them. The backdrop is, as expected, an Arizona-type nature scene, and when you enter the cash bonus round, day turns to night, the music changes and a howling wolf introduces the feature. The button setup is the usual Blueprint one, with the spin functions in the bottom right corner of your screen and the settings and bet selector ones in the bottom left.

Okay, so the default game grid here is 5×4, but it can expand to a size of 5×8, as we outline below. The variance in all of them should be medium, and the number of paylines here stands at a firm fifty.
