Aztec Plinko Game Review
Intro
As you probably know, we are always on the lookout for new Plinko titles, and when we saw that Funky Games had a new entry in this genre, we jumped at the opportunity to present it to you as soon as possible. You may have likely checked out our Plinko UFO review from this company. And now, we bring you Aztec Plinko by Funky Games, a gaming product that hit the Web on November 15th, 2023. It is not ranking high anywhere, but that is to be expected from titles from this category. Still, we thought that Aztec Plinko more than deserved our time because it looks pretty cool, with a presentation that is more of a slot-like quality than a game created in the provably fair style.
How Does Aztec Plinko Work
You get the classic Plinko gameplay here. That means that balls fall from atop of a pyramid structure onto a pin-board-like setup with multipliers resting at the bottom. Depending on where a ball randomly lands, you get awarded that multiplier. The action here gets spiced up by a Spin the Wheel feature and the addition of bumpers. We have seen the latter getting implemented in more and more games from this genre. In Aztec Plinko, when a ball hits one of three such items (bumpers), it collects energy to activate a bonus feature. That is a mode where free balls can get earned, up to two hundred and fifty-six per drop.
Note that at the pyramid’s base, along with the multipliers, you also have a spin spot that can give you wheel spins that lead to multipliers or entry into the bonus feature.
How to Play Aztec Plinko
You must accumulate a sufficient ball number in the SPIN gate to trigger the SPIN THE WHEEL feature. The greater the number of balls per drop, the higher the likelihood of winning, up to x100 per ball value. Alternatively, enter the bonus feature directly if you do not mind paying for this privilege. The cost is x100.
In Aztec Plinko, you can choose the number of balls per drop (10, 20, or 50), and the round’s total bet gets determined by BET PER BALL multiplied by BALLS PER DROP.
As mentioned above, the bonus feature activates when the energy meter is full. You increase the energy meter by dropping more balls and hitting the center bumpers. The starting drops in the bonus feature get randomly triggered. Upon completing the meter in the bonus feature, entry to the next level gets provided, supplying ten more drops. If the meter has not been filled, and you have no more drops, the bonus feature concludes.
Where Can You Play Aztec Plinko
Crypto gambling sites that we know carry interactive gaming products from Funky Games are Joo Casino, BitKingz, Crashino, Gamdom, and 7Bit. Hence, you should be able to find this title on one of these platforms. Joo Casino is usually a safe bet for Funky Games’ creations.
Pros
- Top-notch presentation
- Enticing max win
- Bonus features
Cons
- Could use more complex auto-play functions
- Could use a lower number of balls per round
Graphics Quality
It goes without saying that this is one of the best-looking Plinko games we have ever seen. It has subtle animations throughout that give it a dose of dynamism. The layout has been optimized for mobile play, as it is vertical. The graphics here are flat, implementing gradient shading, with the illustrations looking like they have been drawn in vector-based software like Adobe Illustrator.
We like how the scene here, an Aztec temple set deep in a jungle, has a sense of depth, with elements behind the stone structure being less defined than those in the front, and how we are fans of the sunlight shining through the foliage in the back. The soundtrack used is a typical drum-based jungle theme that features some flutes. The chief color here is green, and the presentation has a colorful and cartoony vibe that works. All in all, we would complement how this game looks and plays. Though, the sound effects may be too pinball-like for our taste.
User Experience
There is nothing novel about the UI/UX design of Aztec Plinko. You can find your site balance info and the three-bar icon that lets you read the rules and mute the game in the top section of Aztec Plinko. Below them is the Plinko pyramid, and in the lower third of your screen, you will see all your round functions, the play button, the bet adjuster, the ball selector, and the bonus buy button. Everything is pretty intuitive and well-presented in this provably fair style title. Thus, there is nothing to gripe on this front.
Tension & Anticipation Value
Given the implementation of the three central bumpers, the option to select up to fifty balls to fall down the pin board per round, and the Spin the Wheel feature, we can safely say that this game is more exciting than most other Plinko ones we have reviewed. The bet sizes here can also get wild, so you get plenty of chances to set your rounds to varying degrees of tension, depending on how you want to play them.
RTP & Variability
Aztec Plinko has a theoretical base RTP of 97.02% and no variance listed. When you activate the Bonus Buy feature, the RTP grows a tad to 97.04%.
Min/Max Multipliers
The lowest multiplier you can hit in this game is x0.2, and the maximum one is x1,000. You get another sub-x1 multiplier in Aztec Plinko, and it is x0.5.
House Edge
If the RTP here by default is 97.02%, then the house edge of Aztec Plinko is 2.8%.
Winning Strategies
We advise that you bet the minimum sum per ball in Aztec Plinko and select that only ten balls make their way down the pyramid here per round. The maximum bet amount paired with the choice that fifty balls can fall per round, each carrying a specific stake, means that things can get quickly out of hand if you are not careful. Therefore, we suggest practicing proper bankroll management and having adequate betting awareness at all times. Utilizing progressive systems may be unwise here due to the described configuration of the game.
Summary – Is Aztec Plinko Worth It?
We like Aztec Plinko. We have no doubts about that.
It looks great, has bonus features, something we rarely see from games from this genre, and it has an alluring max win. We would have liked to have the option to bet one ball per round, but we assume Funky Games’ teams were looking to make this game more engaging and exciting by adding the ten, twenty, and fifty options only.
Overall, we would advise that you seek out this title if you are into Plinko gambling. It has an acceptable house edge for a third-party release and is as immersive as any Plinko game we have seen. Plus, it has a Bonus Buy option. That is something we cannot remember seeing off the top of our heads in other entries in the gaming category. The lack of complex auto-play functions disappointed us, but we are ready to look past that.
FAQ
Can You Play Aztec Plinko for Free?
Yes, you can. We did. However, your chosen crypto casino may not allow demo play, so pay attention to that. If the free-credit option is not available, look for a demo elsewhere. You can find one at LiveBet Casino. That is the first result Google gave us for practice play.
Can You Watch Aztec Plinko Live?
Yes. Given that Funky Games also works with fiat gambling platforms. Plus, their products get featured at some hubs regulated by country-specific bodies/licensors. That opens the door for Twitch streams. Feeds emanating from crypto casinos can get found at Kick and similar websites, but since this is not a very popular game, that will be no easy feat.
What Is the Most You Can Win at Aztec Plinko?
In the demo version, we played. The maximum bet per ball stood at $400. So, that would make the top win $400,000 if you land a ball at an edge pyramid multiplier. We have some reservations regarding whether this is the accurate max win of this game, but Funky Games lists no such spec, so we cannot confirm this sum.
