Imperial Quest features a wheel divided into fifty-four segments. Each is represented by a color and a number. Unlike Dream Catcher, the segments also feature animal imagery, designed to tie in with the Chinese New Year theme found in this game show title. These segments include 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20.

The Asian-flavoured game show title has an RTP rate of 95.5%. The mobile-friendly gameplay begins with a bet, and these can see you stake anything from $0.10 up to $2,500 a pop. Bets can be placed on any of the numerical wedges or segments which appear on the wheel.

After your bets have been wagered, the wheel is spun, and the game commences. If the pointer lands on a segment that is tied to your bet, then you’ll land a prize. For instance, if you bet on the segment numbered 5, and it lands on that, you’ll win 5x your bet. However, you should note that the greater the multiplier on a segment, the fewer of those there will be on the wheel.

There isn’t much more to Imperial Quest than that. However, there are multipliers that can come into play and trigger a bonus round of sorts. We’ll walk you through those in the next section.

Bonus Features

Much like Dream Catcher, Imperial Quest features a bonus mode. This occurs when the wheel stops on one of the multiplier segments. When this happens, the multiplier is added to a tally, and the wheel is spun once more. The next conventional number the wheel lands on will be the winner, and if that is what you’ve bet on, you’ll get the standard prize plus the multiplier. If the wheel lands on several multipliers in succession, they will be added together to create an epic cash prize.

Obviously, in an ideal world, you’re going to want to see a succession of multipliers pop up before the wheel stops on your pointer. This would result in the greatest net profit for you as a player. If the multiplier is out in force, being continually landed, and then you manage to land wins on the “20 segment”, then it is theoretically possible to win as much as 20,000x your bet.

Evolution Gaming’s Dream Catcher continues to be one of the most successful titles in its inventory. The developer has continued to add to this range, including a Monopoly variant, Crazy Time, and most recently, Imperial Quest and Funky Time. While each of these varies and adjusts the gameplay in some way, shape, or form, Imperial Quest doesn’t do that. Instead, this game is largely a Dream Catcher clone in almost every way. The only difference is the game show presenter’s language, theme, and targeted market.
