Magic Dice Game Review
Intro
Part of Malta’s True Flip Group, TrueLab Game Studios is a gaming product supplier we have not yet discussed. We checked. It got its Malta Critical Gaming Supply approval in early 2020, and today, you can find its creations on sites licensed in Curacao, on some Nordic platforms, and on Latin American ones. TrueLab’s parent company, True Flip, was established in 2016, and you may have visited its casino TrueFlip.io, which we have reviewed.
At the time of writing, this brand is responsible for around forty online casino titles available for players in some fifty countries. It debuted Magic Dice in late 2018, a few days before New Year. As far as we can tell, there is little to no playability data regarding this TrueLab release, and demo-play versions of this game are hard to find. But worry not. We will give you the whole scoop on Magic Dice below. So, buckle up, and get ready to do some reading.
How Does Magic Dice Work
As you probably expect with any dice product, the gameplay mechanism here is super simple. You select one number, range of figures, or multiple sets, press roll, and depending on the total of the five rolled dice, your wager will be a winning or losing won. So, essentially, this is basic dice action but with a totaling twist. That is all.
How to Play Magic Dice
We noted above. The goal of Magic Dice is to accurately predict the total of dice dropped out, as this game’s manual puts it. Below the lab scene feature in this game, you have a betting interface that features a five to thirty range. That is so because five six-sided dice get rolled pre-round, and the lowest total you can get is five. Of course. And the highest is thirty. 5×6=30.
So, your job before a roll is to select a betting range you wish to wager on. For example, let us say eleven to twenty. When you do this, the game will tell you your payout multiplier and the winning chances. You can also select from five default ranges and bet on multiple ones. Once you are through with how much precisely you wish to stake, the next move is to click – Roll Dice, which will produce the round outcome. First, five separate dice will roll at the top of your screen, and then their sums will get added up in a section in the betting panel, informing you if you are a winner or loser.
Where Can You Play Magic Dice
It should be available at sites that house TrueLab games like BitKingz, and BitStarz. However, even though this game got updated in early August 2023, when we wrote this review, it was not on hand at all these sites. We reached out to the TrueLab team and could not get a reply. Though some of our fellow gamblers told us, it should return soon to all TrueLab-partnered platforms. So, we hope that is accurate.
Pros
- Cool presentation
- Enticing max win
- Multi-range function
Cons
- High house edge
- Feels more like a slot than a dice game
Graphics Quality
When you select to enjoy a dice title from your chosen crypto casino, you usually get a rudimentary presentation that matches the simplicity of this gameplay genre. Nevertheless, that is not the case here. Magic Dice puts on one of the more impressive visual displays regarding its attempt to boost the engagement value of dice betting fun. The setting here is what appears to be an underground lab, where a bold inventor named Nakimoto (a nod to Satoshi Nakamoto), which we assume is the pink-haired female scientist with tentacles, is running some kind of teleportation/inter-dimension experiment. Magic Dice features unique 3D models with a cartoony-painterly vibe. These give the game a unique atmosphere. But, only a few of the foreground elements are 3D. The rest of the visuals here are static images boasting some decent depth.
All in all, this is, undoubtedly, one of the better-looking dice games around, and it just may be the most distinctive product from this category we have come across, looks-wise. It is also very anime in style. So, there is that.
User Experience
In a sense, we already described the user interface of this game in the how to play section, telling you that all the wagering buttons are in the lower section of your screen, with the bet-price and currency selection resting in the bottom left, and in the bottom right, you have your win/balance info, with the roll, max-bet, and auto-play functions left of it. Between these two areas is the wager picker, and above it is the payout, win, and prize chance data. Now, in the top right, you have the full-screen, mute, info, and provably fair options. Hence, more-or-less, Magic Dice has a traditional slot buttons setup. Reel-spinning fanatics playing this game for the first time will intuitively know how to get around here.
Tension & Anticipation Value
We do not feel much tension or anticipation when we roll virtual dice, and we doubt you are in a different boat, chiefly on account of how fast rounds go by when you partake in this gambling take. To us, the same holds for Magic Dice. Thus, we cannot tell you that this TrueLab release is an anxiety-inducing game, because we do not see it as such. Naturally, when money is on the line, any activity will cause a noticeable level of nervousness. But Magic Dice does not bring extra jumpiness or stress to the elementary gambling experience.
RTP & Variability
Magic Dice’s RTP stands at 95.5%, and the variance here has gotten set at medium.
Min/Max Multipliers
The lowest payout here is x1.01, and the max is x3,000. According to multiple sources, wagering starts at $0.28 and ends at $70. Yet, the game’s info page claims that the fixed lowest wager you can make on Magic Dice rolls is 0.00004 BTC.
House Edge
Like always, flip the RTP to get the house edge, and in this case, this simple action produces a casino advantage of 4.5%, which is high for a crypto-dice gaming title.
Winning Strategies
We suggest taking advantage of the multiple range function and picking three ranges per roll. That will not improve your risk-reward ratio, as nothing you can do will help you with that. But by doing this, you can tailor the game to have an acceptable level of winning probability if you decide to implement progressive betting on it.
Summary – Is Magic Dice Worth It?
While Magic Dice’s presentation and overall vibe captivated us, we do not like that this game has a high house edge for the genre. Yes, that gets offset by the respectably high max bet and slot-like maximum win, but still. You can find medium-variance spinners with better specs and comparable presentations. Do not get us wrong. This is a decent little game. Though, when it comes to dice products, we like the lowest level of risk possible. We believe that is what the provably fair category is all about. That is what we crave when we play games from this genre. The specifications here are more slot-like.

You should be able if your select crypto-gambling site hosts it.

We repeat the same answer for this question. It depends on your location and chosen platform. And by the time you are reading this, they may have forbidden streaming from many other established platforms.
