Pilot Coin Game Review
Intro
We have mentioned Tallin-based Gamzix in many of our list articles, especially the ones focusing on provably fair-style titles. We also reviewed this company’s two other Pilot games. So, it only made sense for us to examine the third edition in this series – Coin.
Gamzix, which creates its titles in a Kyiv studio, unleashed its first Pilot product in late September 2022, and it followed it up with a football-theme iteration (Pilot Cup) that hit online casinos in November of that year. A day after that game debuted, Gamzix set loose Pilot Coin, which we will be looking at here. It features a stock market motif and has not drawn much interest outside India, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. However, we should add that it is also doing relatively well for an entry from this genre in Canada and Germany.
Let us explore and see if it is worth playing and just how much it differs from its siblings.
How Does Pilot Coin Work
Pilot Coin is your run-of-the-mill Crash game. It has a multiplier that grows, and you aim to stay in the round as long as possible, cashing out when your gut tells you that the impending crash is nearing. If you do that, you snag the on-screen value. It gets applied to your stake. If you stay too long and the multiplier crashes before you hit take, you will lose your bet.
How to Play Pilot Coin
Here’s how you play Pilot Coin. You place your bet, from $0.10 to $50 per round, and watch as a line featuring candlesticks increases, led by a golden coin. You can cash out your winnings before the coin inevitably crashes. The multiplier/line starts at x1.00 and rises, multiplying your bet by the current multiplier. Before each round, a random number generator sets the timing of the Crash, and to participate in it, you choose your stake amount and click Place a bet, then click Take to collect your winnings or Take 50% while the multiplier swells. For automatic betting, use Auto. Note that if your internet connection drops during a round, the game will accept your current rate, adding your winnings to your balance.
Where Can You Play Pilot Coin
You should see Pilot Coin on the game pages at BitKingz, WildCoins, and Sol Casino.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Wide betting range.
- Take half option.
- Good top prize.
Cons
- The house edge could be a bit better.
- Unappealing presentation.
- No bonus features.
Graphics Quality
You will not be wrong to call Pilot Coin a line graph crash game. It has a blue, green, and red color palette, implementing a trading motif and a similar visual feel like Pilot and Pilot Cup. The main difference here is the mentioned color palette and the PLT gold coin heading the diagonal line packed with candle sticks. The soundtrack of this Gamzix release is an electronic tune that we can call relaxing, with a futuristic neo-retro vibe.
User Experience
The UX design of Pilot Coin is essentially the same as the interface we saw in Cup and the Original Pilot title. You get the two betting panels in a section below the multiplier area, above which sits a list of your past results, and to the left of these is a table section with Bets, History, My Bets, and Records tabs. In the top right corner, you will see the icon that pulls out the setting options, and in the left one, your site balance gets displayed.
Tension & Anticipation Value
On the tension front, Pilot Coin does not do anything out of the box. Hence, you get the traditional crash anticipation value.
RTP & Variability
Gamzix has chosen to set the RTP of Pilot Coin at 96.5%. That is the same RTP setting as Pilot and Pilot Cup. The company does not list a variance level for this title, but some sites claim it is low-medium. We are unsure if this is accurate.
Min/Max Multipliers
As mentioned above, the multiplier starts rising from x1,00, making the lowest reward one x1,01, and the value can grow up to a high of x5,000.
House Edge
If the RTP here is 96.5%, that makes the house edge of this Gamzix release 3.5%.
Winning Strategies
We suggest pressing the Take 50% button whenever you turn a profit in your round by doing so. Focus on that, and do not get overly greedy. The two bets per round option gives you some flexibility in implementing various strategies, with you keeping your betting conservative with the first one and more optimistic with your second try.
Summary – Is Pilot Coin Worth It?
In truth, there is not much difference between Pilot, Pilot Cup, and Pilot Coin. These three gaming products incorporate similar designs, options, and specs. It is an acceptable crash gambling pick but not one we would tell you to put some effort into seeking out. Its chief attractions are the relatively high max win (for a third-party game) and the Take 50% choice you get. With these two aspects out of the way, you get left with a fairly rudimentary entry in this game category. We doubt it will make any difference to you whether you are playing Coin, Cup, or the original Pilot. We rate them as almost identical and average choices from this genre.
