Elemento Slot Review
We have just become an affiliate partner of Fantasma Games. If you do not know, we have a page dedicated to crypto casinos hosting this Swedish provider’s products, where you can spot loads of high-quality gambling sites. However, we do not think we have ever reviewed any of this supplier’s titles. Before doing that for the first time, we shall tell you that this is a Stockholm-based studio that got up and running in 2017. It works with over two hundred operators and has utilized Big Time Gaming’s Megaways engine. It is a team of around forty people that have created a diverse selection of online reel spinners, and here we will be looking at what many would call Fantasma Games’ most popular slot – Elemento.
The skinny on Elemento is that this is cluster pay game that got released in March 2021, and it probably is Fantasma’s biggest hit to date. We say that because, at the time of writing, this title was trending in the top one hundred most-played spinners in Canada and Sweden. Plus, it was just out of this range in Denmark. It has maintained player interest for over three years, which makes it a stand-out gaming product worthy of our attention. So, let us see what this game is all about.
Theme & Design
What is the theme of Elemento? We would say that the visual motif would put this Fantasma Games’ creation into the gems category. But, the truth is that when discussing themes, sometimes, the presentation does not define the group in which a game best fits. So, in the case of Elemento, we would call this spinner a grid slot, something in the vein of something like Push Gaming’s Jammin Jars or Play’n GO’s Reactoonz. Nevertheless, we must mention that Elemento technically revolves around our planet’s four elements. These are, of course, air, fire, water, and earth. We should also not fail to mention that some of the character designs here reminded us somewhat of the ones we saw in Pine of Plinko.
Audio-visually, there is nothing overly wrong with Elemento. You get a decent little soundtrack, akin to ones implemented in tropical slots, that plays calmly in the background and does not over-impose itself on the gameplay. The sound effects here are actually louder than the described tune, and you get some audio bits announcing upcoming features. Graphics-wise, you get basic but charming illustrations that boast saturated colors (many of them).
The background in Elemento seems to be a space one, with the grid hovering in front of it, boasting a golden frame. You get the spin functions to the right of it, with a bet selection icon under the auto-play and play buttons and an option to buy entry into the free spin round under these. Left of the symbol grid layout, you have element meters and the game logo, and at the bottom of your screen, you can see a black bar showing your site balance, win, and bet info.
Specs & Gameplay
Elemento is a cluster-pay Fantasma Games’ release that incorporates a 9×9 grid setup, lists a slightly above-average RTP setting of 96.33%, a hit frequency of 44.25%, high variance, and a max exposure of x20,000. Technically, this title has a 7×7 layout that gets enhanced due to its Element Area around the base one, where only element wilds can appear. In the regular one, standard pay tokens and wilds pop in, and here is where avalanches/cascades can happen.
You win prizes in Elemento via clusters of five or more identical symbols. If you do not know how games like Elemento work, at the start of each round, previously fallen symbols vanish, and new ones drop on the layout in the next spin. Then, if there are enough same-type tokens to form a reward cluster, these disappear, allowing novel ones to drop in their place, giving you a shot for a new win. That goes on until no rewards combination gets hit.
You get four low-value gems in Elemento, which are red, violet, blue, and green. Hitting a cluster of fifteen or more identical tokens from this group yields wins of x5 (for the blue and green ones) or x10 (for the red and violet gems). The premiums here are four different-colored character symbols that pay out wins from x25 to x100 for fifteen or more token clusters. Know that the wagering range in Elemento starts at $0.20, ending at $60 per spin.
Bonus Features
There are four element wilds in Elemento, and at the start of every spin, four can appear in random spots in their designated area, which we discussed above. Each of these takes a clockwise step after an avalanche/cascade, and a maximum of five can be present. If a cluster win does not include an element wild, one may get spawned into the Element Area.
When Element Wilds help construct cluster wins, they activate and increase their corresponding meter by +1. Once an avalanche/cascade ends, active elemental wilds get triggered in a specific order. A fire wild will add up to ten regular wilds (none elemental – golden Ws) to the Play Area. An X Flood will transform nine symbols into an X shape. Demolition selects one random low-pay symbol, removing all instances and triggering a new cascade. Tornado chooses one random symbol. Then, it either transforms or removes eight adjacent symbols. Tornados can trigger twice.
Activating all four elements wild in one spin gives you five on-the-house reel rotations. Plus, an extra spin for each element wild, activated in a base spin. During this mode, avalanches increase a win multiplier by one, up to a maximum of x99. You can retrigger this bonus by activating all four element wilds. If you wish to go directly to this round, you can, through a feature buy option that costs x60.
GOSU Verdict
Elemento is a pretty adequate grid slot. The gameplay is the main allure of this interactive gaming option, as we doubt that the Okay visuals will be a chief buying point for many online gamblers. We admit that the action here can be a tad slow, but overall, we think that this is an above-average product for its reel-spinning sub-genre and one that has its fans. While it offers nothing groundbreaking, it has maintained a respectable level of popularity through its three-year existence, and that is something that few gambling games accomplish. So, kudos to Fantasma Games for that.
