100 Bit Dice Game Review

GOSU GAME REVIEW

Intro

4ThePlayer is a game developer whose products we do not think we have ever reviewed on BTCGOSU. It is a company that got up and running in 2018, operating from the UK, created by a team of interactive gaming professionals with deep ties to the sector. In early 2019, 4ThePlayer made the news cycle via an announcement from Sweden’s Yggdrasil, which stated that this brand entered its Master Studio Partner program, joining the likes of Rabcat, Northern Light, Fantasma, and Avatar UX.

Over its short existence, 4ThePlayer has not been a prolific provider, only releasing around twenty-five titles at the time of writing, with most of these falling into the slot genre. Some of the company’s more popular products include 5 Doggy Dollars and its 9K Yeti spinner. 100 Bit Dice is a 4ThePlayer release that appeared online in late 2019, in November of that year, to be precise, and it has remained one of the most played titles from this developer. Let’s explore and discover what it offers.

How Does 100 Bit Dice Work

Note that despite the info cited in the intro, we found this game distributed through Relax Gaming’s Silver Bullet platform. It seems that 4ThePlayer now works with Relax. That out of the way, 100 Bit Dice features classic gameplay, the type that is synonymous with this game category. What does that mean? You pick a number from zero to one hundred (you can select decimal figures), and then you wager that a random number algorithm will choose a number below or above your selected one. The over gets named blue here, and the under green. That is all you should know regarding 100 Bit Dice gameplay. Of course, the title of the 4ThePlayer release derives from the fact that you can pick figures up to one hundred.

How to Play 100 Bit Dice

The interface of 100 Bit Dice confused us a bit when we first opened this game. But, more on that later. As mentioned above, you use a slider here to set your desired number from zero to a hundred (0.1 to 99.9 to be exact), and then you press the Bet Green (roll under) or Bet Blue (roll over) button, depending on what your gut tells you. Above the slider, you will see the two potential bets’ payouts, and on top of this info lays the wager adjuster. This modifier has plus and minus buttons that permit you to set your round’s bet size. In the version we played in demo mode, wagers from $0.1 to $100 were available. The official provider info also lists this range.

We should mention that you can use turbo-play here. And that 100 Bit Dice has a pretty robust auto-play mode that lets you save preferred settings to your user profile. Hence, you can reuse these in upcoming sessions.

Where Can You Play 100 Bit Dice

Technically, all crypto casinos that work with Relax Gaming and its Silver Bullet platform should host this product. Though, that is not always the case. From our table of Best Bitcoin Casinos, we are certain that BitStarz carries 100 Bit Dice.

Pros

  • 1% house edge
  • Robust auto-play options
  • Loads of session stats

Cons

  • Poor audio-visual presentation
  • Same-ole feel
  • Could benefit from better UX design

Graphics Quality

There is nothing overly exciting about the presentation of 100 Bit Dice. Blue and green are this dice title’s chief two colors, and it has a somewhat cluttered interface. The game gets presented in two panels, with a grain texture over everything except the results history section. There is no music in 100 Bit Dice, only some annoying sound effects. The ones that play when chips slide across the 0.1-99.9 range. And the following up win/loss sound grows very irritating in the auto-play session. The first is a woosh-sounding effect. The latter sounds like something a kid would produce by pressing two synthesizer keys next to each other.

User Experience

In reality, we touched upon the UX design of 100 Bit Dice a few times above. Upon first access, we did not find it super intuitive, as we expected to see a roll button. Somewhere. Then, after a few seconds of exploration, we learned that there is no such thing and that you initiate game rounds here by pressing the Bet Green and Bet Blue ones. These are in the left-side panel above the auto-play and turbo-play functions. Sandwiched between these two sections lay the winning odds of both potential bets. Above the bet buttons is the number selector, and on top of it are the looming payouts and wager adjuster. At the top of this section sits the game logo.

The right-side panel has your result history, session stats, and the last five hundred rolls. You can access the game settings by pressing the three-bar icon in the bottom black bar, where you can also view your casino balance and mute the game.

Tension & Anticipation Value

We often tell you that we feel little pressure when playing dice games, and our adrenaline rarely spikes in such gaming sessions. You may feel differently, but to us, 100 Bit Dice, like most crypto dice options on the market, does not do anything out of the box to get our heart racing when we make bets on an RNG algorithm rolling a number that is under or over our selected one.

RTP & Variability

100 Bit Dice’s help page says that the RTP of this game is anywhere between 99% and 98%, depending on user gameplay. It says it should stand at 98.94% when someone makes random choices.

Min/Max Multipliers

The help page also states that the max multiplier is x1,000, and the minimum is x1.01.

House Edge

So, if the RTP is 98.94% when one arbitrarily makes random choices in their session, that would make the default house edge of 100 Bit Dice 1.06%, on par with provably fair products from this category.

Winning Strategies

4ThePlayer suggests that if one randomly chooses numbers in 100 Bit Dice, the RTP of this title will be 98.94%. And the help page notes that the max RTP here is 99%. Therefore, we will honestly tell you that we do not know what you can do to get that extra 0.06%. Maybe setting the slider to over 0.1 or under 98 will do, leaving you happy with those x1.01 multipliers. Yet, somehow, we doubt that you will be pleased with that. Thus, we say, go with what your heart tells you. Given the low house edge, progressive betting systems are an option, and you know us, we always advise setting loss limits, which is an option in the auto-play window of this online gambling product.

Summary – Is 100 Bit Dice Worth It?

We like the stats features here and the extensive auto-play functionalities. Also, the RTP is quite good, and gameplay-wise, this 4ThePlayer release mimics famous dice provably fair games. Aside from these four positives, this game does not have much else going for it. Nevertheless, we are sure that these features are enough to entice some dice gaming fanatics, as this genre is not known for variety or jaw-dropping presentations. It is more about the high probability of winning bets.
